I couldn't really come up with anything for this. There are a lot of stories of lordlings and princes rising to their inevitable power, but too often they simper before they get to the shield-banging. I asked my 11 year old son who was his favorite fictional monarch, and he said, "Beowulf was a king, right?" Now, there's a monarch who knew how to swagger, his brass balls ringing through the mead hall. Listen!
Nor have I ever seen,
Out of all the men on earth, one greater
Than has come with you; no commoner carries
Such weapons, unless his appearance, and his beauty,
Are both lies.
