Always Coming Home: Audio Cassette (the Music and Poetry of the Kesh)
WITH CASSETTE TAPE, BITCHES.
Yeah, you heard me.
I've tried to read this book twice, but had some sort of complete failure of imagination both times. I think I've read all of UKL's other fiction, with the exception of Malafrena, which I only tried the once. I found this wickety-whack edition from the mid-80s at Powell's, and it is such a funny book-object: hard board case, cassette, and enormous paperback. Once I figure out where to play
the damn cassette, I will curl up to the sounds of the Kesh and read my little heart out.
I love you, Ursula K. LeGuin.
